Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is just around the corner and that leaves sooo much room for experiments!! For the last few years I have tried so hard to make homemade dinner rolls and have always failed. One year they were so hard that if you threw them at the wall they'd leave a dent! Well folks... persistence is key! I did it, FINALLY and they are great if I do say so myself.

Before they went into the oven...

And when they came out, nice golden brown, fluffy rolls. I was so excited!

Next for Thanksgiving dinner I am going to try to make an apple pie from scratch. I don't particularly care for pies so I've never tried to make them but it's not a good enough reason to deprive everyone else of one! I found a great recipe on momswhothink.com. I'll be sure to take pictures and post how it goes.

Some other yummy treats I decided to conquer include homemade cranberry sauce and sweet potato casserole. I found great videos on the Food Network an have attached them below. They always make these dishes seem so easy in their 3.5 minute videos so hopefully I can do the same... which is yet to be determined.

Hope everyone has a great holiday with family and come back to see how my experiments have turned out! :)
